What Telegram does not show on its own

Messages deleted “for everyone” vanish from both sides’ history — there is no built-in deletion log. Edited messages show only the final text, not before → after. View-once photos and videos cannot be reopened after viewing; spoiler media is limited too.

Telegram does not offer a user-facing archive of hidden events — if your contact deleted, edited, or sent disappearing media, you only see what remains in the chat UI.

What PIPA does for each type

Deleted messages — PIPA forwards a copy of text, photos, videos, voice messages, and documents to your chat with @pipa_official_bot right after deletion in a covered chat.

Edits — the bot captures the old and new version and sends a diff with character-level markup.

View-once and spoiler — disappearing media and spoiler files are forwarded to your bot chat; view-once includes a “Show” button.

All three event types work in parallel with one connection — you do not need separate bots for each feature.

Limits and alternatives

PIPA only sees chats you selected when connecting and only events after connection. History before that moment and secret chats are unavailable — a Telegram Business API limit.

Step by step

1. Connect @pipa_official_bot

   Settings → Chat automation or Telegram Business → Chat bots — add @pipa_official_bot and select personal chats where you want deletion, edit, and view-once alerts.

2. Test with a sample message

   Ask your contact to send a message, then edit or delete it — or send view-once media. PIPA runs in the background; your contact’s chat experience does not change.

3. Open your bot chat and check notifications

   Deletion copies, edit diffs, and view-once media arrive in your private chat with @pipa_official_bot. Check the latest bot messages after each event.
